UNIFORM CONSUMER CREDIT CODE - Tuesday, October 15, 2024
Oddly, only a few states have the Uniform Consumer Credit Code (UCCC) . . .
and Kansas is one of those states. The UCCC is a collection of laws designed to protect consumers--it provides rules affecting rate limits, balloon payments, late-fee limitations, required disclosures, default limitations, right to cure . . . and more. Importantly, many of the current UCCC rules will be changing on January 1, 2025. In this timely webinar (delayed from September so that we can better address the changes), we'll cover the basic UCCC rules and point out the upcoming changes. And of course . . . we'll provide an easy-to-follow webinar booklet for future reference and training.
BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP REQUIREMENTS - November, 2024
The Bank Secrecy Act contains rules requiring banks to identify and verify the identity of beneficial owners of legal entity customers. In this webinar, Anne will explain those requirements. This is a great learning tool for newer bankers and the readable booklet will become an extremely helpful resource.
QUALIFIED MORTGAGES - December, 2024
Qualified mortgages aren’t new . . . and most banks offer them. Despite that fact, most bankers don’t really understand what a qualified mortgage is. Are qualified mortgages required? What are the rules associated with qualified mortgages? How can they help the bank? In this webinar, we’ll explore both the general ability-to-repay rules and the four different qualified mortgage options.
